Technological solutions applied to the environment, this is how STM defined their work the first time we spoke. This engineering company, based in Málaga, had something their brand did not reflect, a character that caught our attention from the beginning.
They contacted us with the intention of having their visual identity updated, understanding the need to have a consistent and modern image. Despite the initial thought, rather a cosmetic job, it quickly was obvious the need to focus the project from a deeper and strategic approach, in order to show the reality of a company that did not match its image. We came up with the idea of creating a brand platform to be used as a management tool, both at internal level so they could take decisions with strategic criteria, and at external level defining how they wanted to be seen. As it usually happens, we started with a small renovation just to end up rebuilding the house from its foundations, so to speak.
Understanding the company, how it operates, the market and its competitors. We worked along STM during this learning phase, so we could get to know them well and grasp a whole vision of their operating field. Somehow, we tried to become experts in their field, so we could finally take decisions based on knowledge.
Solvency and response capacity, commitment with results and determination, pragmatism and cleverness were some of the attributes of this multidiscipline-focused company. They conformed its essence, so we could define its position and plan a corporate strategy based on the idea of future, vision and mission.
Direct, clear, straight to the point, no poetry, no need to embellish the language, from engineer to engineer. We concluded that if it does no contribute, if it does not add, it is not STM.
We were clear the new image should transmit the newly defined essence of the brand, as a company giving solutions to improve our future. Solvency, innovation, clarity and efficiency as key features, gave us different visual options to play with until the selected image was found. Their logo contained within two vertical bars. Rational, direct, clean of ornaments and bold, as a reflection of what this brand represents.
Development of the corporate website was the first step of brand implementation. We had to create a digital portfolio of projects able to transmit the identity and essence of the brand in the most reliable way. A web that breathes functionality and simplicity, designed to find information easily, avoiding the unnecessary and highlighting the essential.
